What are runner rugs?
Runner rugs refer to a specific shape of rugs, that are much longer than they are wide. While runner rugs are rectangular, they are distinguished from area rugs that have different proportions.
For example, a 8′ x 10′, a 9′ x 12′ or a 10′ x 14′ standard-size rugs would be considered as area rugs, while 3′ x 8′, a 3′ x 10′ or a 3′ x 12′ rug would be considered as runner rugs. Notice the much bigger difference in the size of the two sizes. Also note that runner rugs are usually not wider than 3′ or 120cm.
Where should you place Safavieh runner rugs?
