How often should you clean a wool rug?
Keeping your wool rug clean is extremely important to ensure the rug’s longevity. When it comes to cleaning your rugs, it’s practical to think about it in three different layers. You will want to regularly vacuum your rug. While the actual time might vary, a good rule of thumb is to vacuum your wool rug weekly. Then there’s spot cleaning: if a spill or an accident happens, you will have to spot clean the rug immediately, or if it’s not possible, the sooner the better. Finally you will want to give your rug a professional cleaning every once in a while, which can mean anything between twice a year or once every two years, depending on the use.
